The General Pest Management Course for Sales and Management has been developed for people working in or alongside the professional pest management industry who need a strong understanding of general pest management but do not require technician licensing or practical competency assessment.
The course provides participants with an understanding of the knowledge professional pest management technicians are expected to develop as part of their industry training.

This remains an unaccredited industry knowledge course. It does not include competency-based assessment and does not result in a Statement of Attainment or pest management licence.
Online and self-paced. Participants complete the course through the online learning platform at a time and location that suits them. There are no scheduled classes, practical sessions or formal assessments.
Indicative learner commitment is approx. 50 hours. Actual completion time depends on existing industry experience, reading speed and familiarity with pest management. Participants may work through the course progressively rather than completing it in a single sitting.
Explain the purpose of professional pest management, integrated pest management principles, and how technicians assess a problem before recommending a strategy.
Describe the biology, lifecycles, habits and harbourage of major urban pests, and recognise common signs of activity and conditions that encourage infestation.
Distinguish cultural, physical and chemical methods, and understand pesticide formulations, labels, Safety Data Sheets, PPE, public safety and environmental protection.
Describe inspection and application equipment, vehicle storage and spill response basics, and communicate more effectively with technicians, customers and industry personnel.
The course develops knowledge relevant to a broad range of common urban pests.
Participants who complete the online learning content will automatically receive a Certificate of Completion. The certificate confirms completion of this industry knowledge course only.
